What types of Printed Circuit Boards can you get?

Single-Sided PCBs (Single Layer) A single-layer or single-sided PCB is one that is made out of a single layer of base material or substrate. One side is coated with a thin layer of metal. Copper is the most common coating due to how well it functions as an electrical conductor. Once the copper base playing is applied, a protective solder mask is usually applied, followed by the last silk-screen to… Read More »

What does a Printed Circuit Board do?

What does a Printed Circuit Board do? A PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and its components are used in most electronic devices. They are used to mechanically support and electrically connect the electronic components using conductive pathways created using, track or signal traces which are etched from copper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive substrate. PCBs are everywhere. Computers, printers, televisions, digital clocks, pacemakers, microwaves and you’ll even find one in your… Read More »What does a Printed Circuit Board do?

What is the difference between a PCB and PCBA?

What is the difference between PCB and PCBA? PCB is a Printed Circuit Board. It’s an important electronic component, which is a support for electronic components and a carrier for electrical connections between electronic components. As it is produced by printing the required image on the substrate, it is called a “printed” circuit board. It’s most commonly manufactured using copper clad epoxy resin / glass cloth compound. The PCB is… Read More »

He nominated himself to have his legs waxed to help raise more money for the good cause.  We would like to thank all of our employee’s who donated. Together… Read More »Children in Need 2019

What is a PCB (Printed Circuit Board)?

What is a Printed Circuit Board (PCB)? A Printed Circuit board also known as a PCB is a board that connects electronic components. A PCB uses conductive tracks, pads and other featured etched from copper sheets which are laminated onto a non-conductive substrate.  PCB’s can be single-sided (one copper layer), double-sided (two copper layers on both sides of one substrate layer) or multi-layer (outer and inner layers of copper, separated… Read More »What is a PCB (Printed Circuit Board)?
